No I'm not saying that this next trick will give you results like this; but, it will speed up your harvest time and give you more tomatoes as well. And we all know how delicious tomatoes are fresh from the vine. If I can get a bigger yield, I'm all for it.
Simply lay aluminum foil on the ground (shiny side up) between your plants and anchor it along the edges with stones, bricks or whatever you have handy. The reflected light can increase your yield, especially in cloudy weather, and speed up the ripening of your fruit by a full two weeks.
